When I was in the primary school, I always dreamed to have a remote control helicopter.  At  that time my older brother had already played with a gas remote control helicopter. For me , since I was very  young only 9 years old, I felt so scary with its sound and felt difficult to run it. I only looked at him in playing in the big yard near to our house.  Finally when I had my 10 year birthday, my father bought me a present …suprised…it was a small electric remote control helicopter and ready to fly (RTF).  Wow…that was my first experience with the RC Helicopter.  Although I prefer to play with the electric rc helicopter, but I never skipped watching my brother playing his gas rc helicopter.

However both types of remote control helicopters have their plus and minus sides, so be careful when you choose which one is suitable for you.  For younger and beginner like I was at that time, I recommend to buy an Electric RC Helicopter because rc helicopter is easier to fly and commonly cheaper than gas rc helicopter.  Electric Remote Control Helicopter is run by batteries and has an almost silent voice while flying which is safer for a young pilot. While Gas powered remote control helicopters are messier, more difficult to run for young pilot, and much has a louder sound while flying compared to  electric remote control helicopter.

However for an experienced pilots, they prefer to buy gas rc helicopters . Most experienced pilots want to have more challenges while involved with their helicopters while the feeling is less  when flying the electronic one.  The difficulties of setting up a gas helicopter remote control has made them tough challengers.

As you know that now I have my gas remote control helicopter….am I an experienced one…well ..I am still looking for more challenges.  I just share a feeling with you…but both types of helicopter remote control have their own uniqueness.  Just enjoy playing your remote control helicopter.
